Dave Fravel has been writing database and web applications for 15 years. He started 20Mile Technologies after discovering that the local Cape Cod community was technologically underserved. There were a few full-service web shops and a bunch of great print and web designers, but no one on the Cape focused specifically on delivering web development services.
In 2007, Dave decided to quit his full-time job and started 20Mile in a stuffy, crowded 6x8 room beneath his staircase in Cotuit. Two years later, he moved 20Mile to its current location in Osterville - a spot with windows, cross ventilation and room to move around.
Dave lives in Cotuit with his wife, Michelle, and their three children, Caitlin, Keely and Colin. When he's not managing projects, writing code or hanging out with his family, Dave can be found running through the trails of the Cape training for his next marathon (he's promised us that he's going to get back in shape and run one in 2011).
Rodrigo Passos has been programing since age 8, back when loading a program meant typing "LOAD" and then pressing "play" on the cassette recorder at the same time. Currently, he's developing in LAMP environments with a focus on ExpressionEngine / CodeIgniter frameworks, native PHP, jQuery and HTML5/CSS3. He enjoys coding, brainstorming and drawing diagrams on the white board (more than the recommended level).
Besides being a total nerd, he also plays guitar, work on puzzles and code for fun.
Sue Malomo has been doing web development for 10 years, focusing on php, MySQL, jQuery, and recently began dabbling in Ruby on Rails. Sue joined 20Mile Tech in the fall of 2010 and is excited to be part of a team after working solo for many years. She's also enjoying the relative peace and quiet of an office after working from home with three kids and a dog.
David Fontes began creating web pages not too long after the invention of the first web browser. From the days of green text on a black screen to today's interactive multimedia extravaganzas, he has remained consistently fascinated by the advancements in web technology. His specialties include XHTML/CSS, cross-browser compatibility, and Flash. He has also been known to create the occasional 3d animation. When not in front of a computer, "the other Dave" enjoys painting, birdwatching, playing boardgames, and sampling any of the vast array of craft beers.
